Ochoco

Ochoco is a limited edition print of an original gouache painting depicting two plants often seen in the Ochoco region of Central Oregon: the spike bentgrass and cattails.  I believe that there is great importance in familiarizing myself with the natural world surrounding me. I am fascinated by everything that flourishes in such varied habitats- in urban areas, cultivated rural areas and wilderness. As I consider the similarities and differences between areas that I live in or visit, I am awed by the diversity of life that I get to co-exist with. It is my hope that this work before you spurs you to spend a few quiet moments considering the diversity of life surrounding you today. *sold without frame*
